Changing-Room Guidelines Advice for Team Managers Each Sunday of the rugby season, a team of volunteers is needed to ensure the changing-rooms are managed successfully. Your team will need to do this three or four times in the season, and it is important that we are all clear exactly what is required – this will prevent any upset on the day. The responsibility for getting a duty team together lies with the Team Manager, and, if for any reason you are unable to do this, you must let either the Junior Chairman or the Junior Secretary know as soon as possible, and NOT on the day. Please study the list of tasks below, and if you have any queries regarding them, please contact me well before your first tour-of-duty. 1. Open up changing-rooms – by 09:30. Key available in the clubhouse (cleaners are normally there by 09:15). 2. If the internal door is locked, it can be unlocked thus. Press 4 and 2 together on the keypad, release them, then press 3, at the same time turning the trigger-style handle. This should do the trick. 3. If the changing-rooms need sweeping, please clean them. I believe that someone has been found who will clean them on a Saturday night, but we can’t rely on this service being provided. 4. Switch on the boilers 5. Allocate pitches – the most senior team normally gets the 2nd XV pitch, then the next senior the 3rd XV pitch, and so on. When the Minis are playing, U11s and U12s need a pitch with posts. Cup matches must be played on fenced pitches, either 2st or 3nd XV pitch. 6. Allocate the changing-rooms – depending on the number of matches, rooms 1, 2 and 3 are normally allocated to the home teams, 4, 5 and 6 to our visitors, one team per room. 7. Mark pitch and room allocations on the board 8. At the end of the day’s rugby do the following:- - turn off the showers (they’re always left running) - empty the bath, if it’s been filled - turn off the boilers - turn off any lights that are burning - check changing-rooms for property left behind, and bring anything you find back to the clubhouse - lock the changing-room door, and return the key
Managers please let me know should we need to alter anything on this page.
