Volunteers

We always welcome extra help. If you can help out at all, please let us know. It doesn’t have to be every week—just let us know what /when you can do and we’ll do the rest! Roles available include Team Manager, Coach, Referee, Parent Helper plus committee roles for organizing and running the club. In accordance with our Child Protection Policy, we will carry out police checks on our regular helpers. Occasional helpers will be accompanied by another member of the team. We also offer a comprehensive development programme for our volunteer helpers which enables development through the RFU structured coaching and/or referee programme . If you are interested in becoming a coach or referee, please speak to the Coaching Coordinator - Chris Waites or our Chairman  - Dave Morris.

Become a Rugby Volunteer

Without club administrators, ground staff, physios, clubhouse caterers to name a few, rugby would not be the amazing game it is. You don't have to be 'sporty' to be a rugby volunteer because there are opportunities for everyone to give time. Whatever skills you can offer - be it feeding the players, promoting the club, raising funds, improving facilities, or anything else - Our club would be delighted to welcome you.

The Rugby Club rely heavily on the service of volunteers. Their dedication and support enables thousands of young people to participate in our Game.

We need parents, grandparents and friends to GET INVOLVED.  For many jobs around the club payment is totally unrealistic so how can you help?

Whatever skills you can offer - be it making the teas, updating websites, doing the finances, painting the changing rooms or anything else - Our club would be delighted to welcome you.

The Rugby club offers volunteers the chance to:

bulletmake a difference especially to young players
bulletbelong to a sociable team and meet new people
bulletlearn new skills

You do not have to make a week-in, week-out commitment but give assistance if required, through a rota, for an event, or a specific project.

Anyone gripped enough to go on to take an official coaching course will usually be encouraged to do so. It's great fun and does wonders in reducing your waistline and stress levels!

Don't wait to be asked, please GET INVOLVED today!
